Another Weather Story, Sad News, A Car Wreck
ISI UTA, Misc, PraiseYou are not going to believe what happened this week again! Friday we had our end of the year pool party for ISI at UTA. We had 30-40 students gathered for a time of fun and fellowship at our dear friend Daniel and Jamie’s house. For many it was the last time we were going to see them. As we were barbequing, I received an alert on my iPhone telling me that there was a Severe Thunderstorm warning for Tarrant county and Arlington. I shared that with some. We prayed. We moved the food serving table indoors but we decided to allow everyone to stay outdoors until it started raining. We ate. We played some group building games. The kids swam. We had a lot of fun. We heard a lot of thunder in the distance and even some lightning but it never rained. Look at the radar map on the right. We were at the “X” As you can see the heavy rain line just parted where we were. God is so incredibly good! He answers prayers! We have no sense that we have a special calling in praying for weather but it was just incredible. God is GOOD.
- The trip to Austin was a great success. Ron did the first level M:28 training as the main guy for the first time and he did a great job. I finished up. It was clear that the gears were turning in many of the people who were there. I heard from several that the training was timely for them and that they want to apply it right away.
- Pray for Frank our long time partner as a volunteer and friend who currently lives in California. He just had a stroke. His family does not live near. Pray for quick healing and that the local community will surround him with grace.
- Continue to pray for our dear dear friends the Tanins from Tajikistan. Pray that all the barriers to them following Jesus would go away they would make the final choice to walk with him.
- Lisa’s car was in a wreck and it will be totalled. Please pray for favor with the insurance company and that we would be able to replace the car with something affordable with good gas mileage.
