Welcoming new Students – Airport Chronicles – Baptism
ISI UTA, Praise
August 20, 2012
The Big Howdy has begun! Last week was very busy as all the area campuses were welcoming new students. Between airport pickups, orientation, used item distribution/sales, rides to Walmart, etc. our whole North Texas team has been meeting new students daily. God has been very faithful as we seek people of peace as we serve all international students. It has been very fun.
Some other quick hits…
- Roy picked up seven new UTA students from the airport including students from India, Nepal, England & Germany. as the Big Howdy group processed at least 90 pick ups. These were delightful experiences where Roy was able to make several new friends. Perhaps one or two are people of peace. The used item sale was a true success a we prayed against the rain and it didn’t come and we gave away more furniture than ever before. This year was very special as I really believe our volunteers were more focused and prepared than ever. Good contacts were made. What a blessing it was.
- Rom’s Baptism – Student Romy was baptized on Sunday. It was fun being a part of the service. It was exciting seeing so many people to spoke into her life for Jesus.
