Sharing Christ's Love with International Students in North Texas

Answered Prayers, New family member

ISI Dallas/Fort Worth, ISI UTA, KidsNews

This was a much more standard week. We didn’t have to cancel any thing. We didn’t have a major spiritual attack. It was just the usual, and for that I am very thankful.

AnchorPraises:

  • I had the opportunity to represent ISI at Bear Creek Bible Church in North Richland Hills. While it is far from any existing ministry, it is near a campus we are considering entering, Tarrant County College North East. Two couples eyes got bigger as I shared about home groups. Clearly they were touched.
  • I just got a text from a student friend, “Hey Mr. Roy u remember that we all prayed for my midterms last Friday night… well I scored 93/100 in math and A in English. .. thanks to u all. .. very thanks.” This was the second answered prayer for this student that he shared at Friday night. It was cool to see God answer prayer of the students. It’s been truly uncanny how as we have been praying for and with the students on Friday nights God is answering prayer. God is real and wants to show Himself.
  • I got this from my colleague, Jeff :

Just wanted to pass along the good news that Carl, a student from Ch1na who came with us to NASA two weeks, trusted Jesus this afternoon! Thanks, praise, and glory to God! I just read in I Corinthians 3:7 earlier this week, “So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who make things grow.”  Chris was part of ISI’s ministry in Oregon and they put me in contact with him when transferred to UTD last month. They did an outstanding job, along with students and profs at George Fox University, of planting and watering seeds of truth that God used to make his faith in Christ grow. Please pray for Chris, his growth and walk with Christ, protection from the evil one, and wisdom for me as I disciple him. Rejoicing with you and the angels in heaven!

  • Jonathan recently received a certificate from his High School stating that he was one of the only 50,000 of 1.5 million who was chosen as a commended student in the National Merit Scholar program. We are very proud of him.Timothy is working on the Rambots robotics team and is progressing well as the programming lead. Charis is learning Lightly Row already using the bow on the Violin after only a few month and sounding good.
