UTA graduation, Golf with an Old Friend, “best time in America”

A fair number of our students and others graduated from different universities last week and this. Among others were a key student leader from TCU, an ISI intern, and an Italian student friend. It was very bittersweet. We are excited that they could take the things that they learned here with them wherever they are going, but it was sad to see such good friends move to the next thing. God is good and will be with them and we praise Him for that.
Former student LZ from East Asia came back just for the purpose of playing Golf and while Ron and I were only able to play with him and his friend for two holes because of rain, we were able to talk much about his life and other things over dinner. That was very good. He is the one who is temporarily a high level county official in China for a year through a program sponsored by his company.
C-10 started volleyball and is happy to be back on the court. My sister in in town with her family with my niece’s softball team. We are so happy to see them for even this short time.
Several students including Nick, Al, and Juan, shared that what made their time in the USA valuable was their being in the ISI group. They tasted true community. Praise God. One called us angels… Praise God that they saw snapshots of God’s kingdom through us.
