Sharing Christ's Love with International Students in North Texas

Cliffhanger in COS, God’s hand, Another retreat! Pray for Publishers

ISI Other, RoyNews

I realized I left you all watching a cliff hanger. While many lost their homes and some even lost their lives up in Colorado, no ISI staff did and our national office was not threatened. God did some amazing things. If you look at the spread of the fire, there was a “bubble” around the Navigators Glen Eyrie & Eagle lake properties. The firemen were amazing but God also did something very special. The hotel we were at was also spared and the stories of how our national staff went to shelters and took out our teams and put them up in their homes was such a blessing. As I shared earlier, us Texans headed down early and had a wonderful time of fellowship, post-processing and planning together on the drive home. We even had an unexpected but very welcome guest from Tyler, Emily who shared a lot of things with us in a very sweet time.

Furthermore, we daily hear from staff about the effect of the M:28 pre-conference and the regular national conference had. Prayer was the difference. God was there!

The M:28 training at national conference, the prayer emphasis, so many other things changed many at the national conference and challenged them to look beyond the status quo. This conference will be one we never forget because of the fire but hopefully also because of what God did in the hearts of people. I know we often said this but there was a palpable difference this year.

We learned so incredibly much about people and about ISI during this conference. All of our team was involved in some way in the training effort from prayer to sharing a testimony to teaching. Praise the Lord!
